The Reader

•June 24, 2009 • 4 Comments

I just found out, that the brilliant movie ” The Reader” is still going in quite a lot of cinemas in Berlin, so in case you still didn’t watch that one, I advise you to watch it soon:

As the 15 year old student Michael has a Blackout, the train porter Hanna is helping him. After his convalenscence Michael develops a passion for her and reads out to her regulary-until she leaves traceless. Many years later Michael meets Hanna again: She appears in court, where she is confronted with her dark past. His still shows sympathy for her.

Have a look at the official Trailer:

The film is made after the international successful novel written by Bernhard Schlinks.
I was very touched by the film and I was impressed by this well actored movie. The main actors are:
Kate Winslet as Hanna
David Kross as the young Michael
Ralph Finnes as the old Michael

Berlin Philhamonic orchestra

•June 17, 2009 • 6 Comments

This seasons taditional last concert by Berlins philhamonic Orchestra shouldn’t miss anyone. It is gonna be an open air highlight, which will be, in that I am sure, unforgettable. The Beginning is this year the conductor himself: Simon Rattle with his piano accompanist Yefim Bronfman.

The Program, he chose for this event, is a diligent selected mixture of a sophisticated and popular creation. Starting with pieces out of Peter Tschaikowskys Ballett The Nutcracker (Overture plus 1st Scene and March from Act 1) leading over to the beautiful ductile, tecnically very sophisticated Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor by Sergej Rachmaninow and ending with Le Sacre du printemps by Igor Strawinsky.

Even if you are not too fond of classical music, I am sure you will like it due to the whole atmosphere, which going to lead this evening.

When?
21 June 2009, 8.15 pm

Where?
Waldbühne Berlin
Glockenturmstr. 1

Peter Fox Concert

•June 1, 2009 • 4 Comments

“The greatest Privilege in my job is having the possibility to work day by day together with people, who happen to be creative”

Peter Fox

Peter Fox originally never wanted to publish a soloalbum but always wanted to produce an album for another voice. Well, but after his workmade Cee-Lo left to start a new project Peter himself started to sing, because he simply needed a voice.

He wanted to create his individual and own sound and he made it with a whole orchestra, he established own melodies and string-riffs. He searched for groups of good stringplayers, as well as blowergroups.
Peter worked together with his Co-songwriter Monk, whom he fully trusted. They worked on the texts over a year until he was satisfied. In the end we see the work was definitly worth it: his album ” Stadtaffe” is amazing…

Me and some of my friends are lucky and got tickets for the coming concert of Peter Fox and the Cold Steel Drumline in Berlin:

When?
12 June 2009, 7 pm
13 June 2009, 7 pm
25 August 2009, 7 pm

Where?
Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide
An der Wuhlheide 187
12459 Berlin

Maybe you are lucky and still get a ticket too, to buy one online click here.

I just wanted to tell you a little bit about the concert, where we went, on the 13 June. It was as I guessed, just amazing. I was really impressed by the Wuhlheide, I wasn’t expecting a real tribune with appropriate seats. Here you can see some pictures of us enjoying the night:

As you can see, it was worth it. Think about it, you can still go to one of his coming concerts…even if you don’t get tickets online anymore, there are always people selling their tickets at the S-Bahn station Wuhlheide.

Cream Contemporary

•May 27, 2009 • 3 Comments

Since one year my friend works in a gallery, called ” Cream Contemporary” and once every while they have exhibitions, which I, so far, always really liked. That is why I want to recommend you the coming exhibition RINGEN.

It shows ten unusual works of international contemporary art, which are based on different forms of self confrontation and confrontation with the world. The artists explore the complex problems of an individual and social contextualisation from diverse angles. All the while adjoining the elementary physical experience of being in the world.

Libanon on Stage

•May 15, 2009 • 9 Comments

Today I got something very special for you. It is of great importance for me. Since 2008 I am working for a social project called “Das Libanonprojekt”

by the Community of young Maltesers Malteserlogo

Its a yearly summercamp in the lebanon for disabled people.

lib 2nd Camp (430) 1rst Camp (242) libanon libanonchen

To finance this project the Community of young Maltesers initiated a charity theatre called “Libanon on Stage” in 2005. This year we perform in 5 cities of Germany: Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Hamburg, Potsdam and Cologne.

This year live on stage: “Yvonne, Prinzessin von Burgund” by Witold Gombrowicz Libanon on Stage

“Yvonne? Who is Yvonne?”
Exacly this is the main theme of the play. Nobody knows Yvonne, even worse nobody wants to know Yvonne! She is inconsiderable, pale, just different! The play is about how society is incapable of coping with people being different.
It is black humored, sharp, merciless, but colorful, touching, funny and surely teaches everybody a lesson.

The director of this great play is the one and only Severin Hoensbroech!!!

You really shouldn’t miss an amazing, a little contemplative, wonderful and diverting afternoon in Potsdam.I should know since I’m going to be in it myself, so if you want to see me acting and simultaneously help handicapped people, by paying the entrance fee, you should definitley come!
